Renovation of a four-story townhouse located in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, and conversion of this turn-of the-century wood-frame building from a two-family to a one-family dwelling.
The new floor layouts include basement floor with family, guest, laundry, and utility rooms; an open-space parlor floor with living, dining and kitchen spaces and access to a new back yard deck; a second floor with two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom; and a third floor with a spacious master suite and access to a large terrace.
The renovation included adding, enlarging and replacing windows and doors, replacing the exterior siding and roofing, and completely replacing the plumbing and lighting fixtures and the interior finishes.
A new steel and glass guardrail/space divider runs vertically from the basement floor up to the third floor.
